Vacancy: GP Partner

(5-6 sessions) at Trumpington Street Medical Practice

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our surgery in Cambridge for a new partner (5-6 sessions). You will be joining a thriving, forward thinking and very supportive team. We are fortunate to be a two site practice which adds variety and interest with the diverse mix of patients we have registered with us.

  • Our main surgery is in the centre of Cambridge, within one of the buildings of Corpus Christi College which was founded in 1352. We are opposite St Catharine’s College and King’s College. We look after a lot of the student population of Cambridge University.
  • Our branch surgery, which now looks after as many patients as our main surgery, is in the Clay Farm Centre in Trumpington. This is a modern, purpose built surgery with state of the art facilities and lots of space. At this site we see more families and children.

We do not look after any nursing homes and we have an extremely low visit rate, due in part to our younger patient cohort.

We are very flexible with the way we work, our morning surgery start time varies to allow for school drop off or a longer commute.

If you enjoy teaching GP registrars and medical students, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved. One of our partners is the local Training Programme Director (TPD) and we have GP ST1s, ST2s, ST3s, Sports and Exercise Medicine Trainees and medical students from Cambridge University. We also run regular in-house educational meetings.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and happy practice, there is a real sense of community at Trumpington Street Medical Practice and we all help each other out with clinical conundrums or busy duty days. If this sounds like the kind of environment you would like to work in, please get in touch and we can arrange an informal chat and/or a visit to our two sites.
