Dr Angela Bennett

Primary qualifications: MA MB BChir MRCGP Dip Med Ed
Availability: Monday 9am to 6pm, Tuesday 9am to 6pm and Thursday 9am to 6pm
Dr Angela Bennett joined the practice in 2015. She trained at Pembroke College, Cambridge and Addenbrooke’s hospital, qualifying in 2001, and completed her GP training in Cambridge. She is interested in all areas of general practice with a special interest in student health, women's health and child health. She can perform joint injections for a wide range of conditions, and some minor skin surgery. She holds a diploma in teaching Fertility Awareness Method of family planning.
Dr Bennett holds a Diploma in Medical Education and is a GP trainer, as well as being one of the Training Programme Directors for the postgraduate GP training scheme in Cambridge. She has extensive experience teaching at the Cambridge University Medical school and is involved in the Clinical School Pastoral Advisor team. She is a University Recognised Clinical Teacher and Examiner for the Clinical Medicine and Preparing for Patients courses as well as teaching students in the practice.
Along with the Patient Participation Group and social prescribers, Dr Bennett leads our allotment working group, which share an allotment on the Clay Farm site and aims to boost wellbeing via working the soil, friendship and producing delicious fruit and vegetables.
Dr Bennett is a keen musician (cellist and singer) and enjoys helping performing artists who may be experiencing medical problems due to their art.
